Peach Cobbler

1/2 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp Sugar

1 Tbsp Cornstarch

1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

4 Cups Fresh Peaches, Sliced

1/2 Tsp Salt

1 Tsp Lemon Juice

3 Tbsp Shortening

1/4 Tsp Cinncmon

1/2 Cup Milk

1 Cup Flour

 

Blend sugar (1/2 cup) and cornstarch in pan. Stir in peaches, lemon juice and cinnamon. Cook, stirring constantly till mixture thickens and boils. Boil for one (1) minute. Pour into ungreased two (2) quart casserole. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl. Cut through shortening and milk six

Times; mix till dough forms ball. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit. Bake at 400 deg. For 25 to 30 minutes.
