Fry Bread




 

2 Cups Flour

1\2 Cup Non-Fat Dry Milk

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

1\2 Salt

2 Tbsp Shortening

3\4 Cup Water

 

With fingers mix dry ingredients and shortening until evenly combined. Use fork to stir in water. Mix until it clings together. Turn out into floured board and knead until smooth. Divide into 8 equal parts. Flatten to 6 inches rounds. Fry in 1 1\2 inches of oil at 375. Cook one at a time. About 2 minutes. Turn once or twice.
