Hot Blue Cheese & Bacon Dip




 

7 Strips Bacon - Cut Into Small Pieces

1 Tsp. Garlic, Chopped

(1) 8 Oz. Package Of Cream Cheese, Softened

1/4 Cup Half & Half Or Milk

4 Oz. Crumbled Blue Cheese

1/2 Cup Chopped Smoked Almonds

Saute the bacon until almost crisp. Drain fat from pan and add the chopped garlic. Saut´┐Ż until bacon is crisp. Remove from pan, put aside. With electric mixer or food processor, blend cream cheese & half/half or milk until smooth. Add in blue cheese and bacon/garlic mixer. Blend until mixed in but it doesn't have to be totally smooth - want some of the bacon and blue cheese bits.

Place in a 2 cup oven-proof dish and cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove foil and top with the chopped smoked almonds. Serve with sliced apples, pears and/or crackers.
